　　【解析】birth rate 是不可数名词，所以选择C项答案，意思是：印度的人口出生率已经降低，但远没有中国的人口出生率低。

　　1.as many as, as much as的区别：

　　(1)as many as 是多达……，像……一样多，修饰可数名词

　　She has given birth to as many as 6 children.

　　她竟生了六个孩子!

　　(2)as much as也是多达……，像……一样多，但它修饰不可数名词

　　Put as much sugar as you like

　　喜欢放多少糖就放吧。

　　2.as well as, as well的区别：

　　(1)as well as常用来连接两个并列的成分， 作也， 还解释。常放在句中，它强调的是前一项， 后一项顺便提及

　　I like to eat candy as well as chocolate

　　我喜欢吃糖果和巧克力。

　　(2)as well常用作状语， 作又，也解释, 相当于too或also, 常位于句末， 无须用逗号与句子分开。如：

　　Mary is attending the party, Jack seems to be going as well.

　　玛丽将出席宴会，杰克也会出席。
