AEIS英语教材中表达思念的短语

　　新加坡AEIS考试培训中心指出：人类的情感总是相似处，就像是AEIS英语教材里也有很多表达思念的短语。有趣的是，它们很多都有着“渴望”的含义，来看看呗。

　　1. think of

　　它的本义是“想出;发明”。We'll have to think of a pretty good excuse for being late.

　　我们得想一个很好的迟到的借口。

　　think of也可以表示“想念”。To think of you makes me old.

　　思君令人老。

　　She could think of nothing but Edward Craddock.

　　她一心只思念着爱德华·克雷杜克。

　　2. be concerned with/aboutconcerned

　　做形容词表示“担心的;忧虑的;挂念的”。I'm a bit concerned about/for your health.

　　我有点担心你的健康。

　　I am concerned with you terribly!

　　我好想你!

　　3. cherish the memory of

　　cherish the memory of one's dead mother

　　怀念先母

　　I shall evermore cherish the memory of the patriotic poet.

　　我将永远怀念这位爱国诗人。

　　4. long for

　　大家都了解long的形容词意思，它也有动词含义“渴望…;渴望做…”。She longed to see him again.

　　她很想再见到他。

　　I'm longing for news of him.

　　我正在盼望着得到他的消息。

　　I cannot conceal from you that sometimes I long for you dreadfully.

　　我不能对你隐瞒，我有时思念你心焦如焚。

　　5. languish for

　　languish表示“受苦，经历苦难，受煎熬”，languish for的含义是“因渴望而苦恼”。He languished for home.

　　他苦苦地思念家乡。

　　6. sigh for

　　sigh意思是“叹息;惋惜”，在我们思念对方而又无法相见的时候，也是会常常哀叹吧。Spring Festival is drawing near.The Chinese students abroad sigh for home and friends.

　　春节将至，海外的中国留学生思念家乡和朋友。

　　The old man sighed for the good old days.

　　老人十分思念过去的美好日子。

　　7. pine for

　　这个短语表示“渴望得到…;苦苦思念”。He's still pining for his ex-girlfriend.

　　他还在苦苦地思念着他的前女友。

　　值得一提的是，pine作动词也表示“消瘦;憔悴;衰弱”，有没有为伊消得人憔悴的feel!8. yearn for/afterDespite his great commercial success he still yearns for critical approval.

　　尽管他获得了巨大的票房成功，但还是渴望得到评论家的认可。

　　I shall yearn for you very much.

　　我会很想你。
